Prepares surfaces and applies paint, varnish, stain, wall paper, and coatings to help beautify and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures to preserve buildings, equipment, midways and rides. Responsibilities and requirements may vary by location.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3 weeks paid vacation (6 sick days, 8 paid holidays)</li>\n <li>Several medical coverage options to fit your needs best</li>\n <li>401K match</li>\n <li>Maintenance-specific scholarships available</li>\n <li>FREE entry to ALL our parks and water parks!</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Perks:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Yearly maintenance appreciation week celebration</li>\n <li>Complimentary tickets for friends and family</li>\n <li>Discounts on food and park merchandise</li>\n <li>Full-time and part-time employee events and gatherings</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for routine painting and wall covering, building maintenance works and checking with management and work order system for day’s assignments and priorities.</li>\n <li>Check assigned areas and touch up all paint as needed on all buildings, structures, carts, and signs.</li>\n <li>Operates a vehicle, trucks, forklift, pressure washer, sand blaster, spray equipment, air compressors, power lifts, Cushman cart, and two way radio.</li>\n <li>Prepare surfaces and remove previous paint to apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.</li>\n <li>Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials.</li>\n <li>Apply wood finishing by suitably preparing surface.</li>\n <li>Determine, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls as requested.</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain high pressure low volume spray machines.</li>\n <li>Maintain records and logs of Volatile Organic Compound, spray volume, product used and time spent; submit finished work orders to supervisor.</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain various power and manual hand tools and spray machines following all established PPE procedures and company policies.</li>\n <li>Interacts with various groups and individuals such as immediate supervisor, other managers and staff, coworkers, guests, vendors, and contractors.</li>\n <li>Read blueprints and drawings of the project and structures for the execution of assigned job.</li>\n <li>Order paint supplies and materials.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.</li>\n <li>Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.</li>\n <li>Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee</li>\n <li>Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>18 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license.</li>\n <li>4-6 years or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge.</li>\n <li>Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet.</li>\n <li>Ability to use a stepladder up to 40 feet.</li>\n <li>Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV,previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provinciallaw.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</strong> Knowledge of the methods and techniques of sign painting, paints, varnishes, enamels andother finishes, and of their uses in sign painting work. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to prepare detailed layouts on the basis of rough sketches and general directions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> High school graduate or equivalent. Related vocational training preferred. Graphic art, fabricating, and installingsigns and/or sign painting training preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>License or Certification:</strong> Trade license or equivalent depending on trade. Valid driver’s license required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong>Typically requires 2-4 years of painting experience. Sign painting experience if applicable for the park</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Equivalency: </strong>Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/orcompetencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.</p>",
