Provides for a safe work environment through proper training and ensures product quality by utilizing statistical methods to control production processes</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Have exemplary personal conduct that demonstrates integrity, commitment, judgement and courtesy to all co-workers, customers and vendors. </li>\n <li>Promote and support highest level of safety, both personally and with others, throughout daily activities. </li>\n <li>Support the development of lean manufacturing processes; continuous improvement, standard work, visual controls, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement. </li>\n <li>Select and apply appropriate continuous Improvement tools aimed at improving line capacity, production line efficiency, process reliability, mean time between failure and other key measures. </li>\n <li>Drive lean training and implement a lean toolkit utilizing PDCA; quick changeovers; operator care, Kaizen, problem solving, 5S, etc. </li>\n <li>Actively reinforces key continuous improvement concepts through coaching and auditing across the organization. </li>\n <li>Demonstrate high energy and professional confidence and the ability to drive results. </li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with other departments and internal and external customers. </li>\n <li>Works with Maintenance and Process Engineering Departments to establish operational “Best Practices.”</li>\n <li>Takes actions to control emergency situations and ensures appropriate management personnel are notified.</li>\n <li>Be solely responsible for the plant in the absence of manufacturing managers and other staff members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical field is preferred. </li>\n <li>Must have at least three years of manufacturing experience (plastic manufacturing is a plus). </li>\n <li>Three years of front line supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility is strongly preferred but a combination of manufacturing experience, line leadership experience, and/or education would satisfy this requirement. </li>\n <li>A working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience leading problem solving and/or continuous improvement teams is preferred.</li>\n</ul>",
