    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<h2>At a Glance</h2>\n<p>Legrand is seeking an <strong>Environmental Health & Safety Specialist</strong> to join our <strong>Data, Power & Control (CCB) Team</strong> in <strong>Farmingdale, NY</strong>. This role supports a safe, inclusive, and environmentally responsible workplace by leading key EHS initiatives that encourage collaboration and continuous improvement.</p>\n<h2>What Will You Do?</h2>\n<p>You will contribute to creating a workplace where every team member feels valued and safe. Key responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Actively monitor safe working conditions through a strong, supportive presence on the floor.</li>\n <li>Develop, improve, and maintain EHS programs using an inclusive, team-centered approach.</li>\n <li>Lead environmental programs related to air, waste, and wastewater.</li>\n <li>Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.</li>\n <li>Address safety concerns constructively and evaluate corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Partner collaboratively with teams and vendors to evaluate tools and equipment that improve ergonomics and reduce risk.</li>\n <li>Guide the Safety Committee and support an open, participatory safety culture.</li>\n <li>Encourage daily safety talks and ensure shared understanding across teams.</li>\n <li>Implement and evaluate training to meet EPA, ISO-14001, and OSHA requirements.</li>\n <li>Conduct or coordinate training on safe operations, hazard identification, and safety equipment.</li>\n <li>Manage ergonomic assessments and continuous improvements.</li>\n <li>Inspect facilities to ensure regulatory compliance and hazard elimination.</li>\n <li>Ensure reporting, analysis, and recordkeeping for EHS compliance.</li>\n <li>Align corporate and local EHS goals.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>We welcome applicants who meet most, not all, listed qualifications.
