The APRN/PA will collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, participating in monthly hospital on-call coverage, and traveling locally to practice locations as needed. This role involves performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and educating patients and their families on disease management and prevention strategies.&nbsp;<br><br><p><strong>Our Culture: Inspire hope. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an APRN/PA to join our team and support our mission. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Provide care to gastroenterology patients</strong> by developing diagnoses, establishing patient care objectives, noting changing conditions and needs, providing treatments and services involving disorders and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and collaborating with physicians.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Develop patient care plans</strong> by reviewing patients&rsquo; medical histories, documenting physical and psychological conditions, and influencing social factors, conferring with family and friends, developing a diagnosis, and defining interventions, schedules, and timetables.</li><li><strong>Provide patient education&nbsp;</strong>on disease processes, treatment options, medication administration, and preventative measures.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Assist in performing endoscopic procedures&nbsp;</strong>such as colonoscopies and endoscopies<strong>&nbsp;</strong>with gastroenterologists.</li><li><strong>Document patient encounters&nbsp;</strong>accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) system.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members,&nbsp;</strong>including nurses, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and dieticians to ensure holistic patient care.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environments</strong> by following infection control procedures, medication administration, storage protocols, and controlled substance regulations while adhering to professional, legal, and organizational policies.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Improve job knowledge</strong> by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.</li><li><strong>Other duties as assigned.</strong> Please note that the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may be subject to change at any time to meet the evolving needs of the company.
