This year, the firm surpassed its 1,000<sup>th</sup> trial milestone, affirming our rank as one of the foremost product liability trial firms in the country.</p><p>We continue to grow and are actively searching for a<strong>&nbsp;warranty paralegal</strong> to join our growing team in <strong>Troy, Michigan.</strong>&nbsp; Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prepare, edit, and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings)</li><li>Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs</li><li>Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and document production</li><li>Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms&nbsp;</li><li>Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate</li><li>Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, client meetings, trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial)</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Meticulous, diligent, personable, and highly motivated</li><li>Ability to anticipate next steps and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions</li><li>Comfortable with learning new technology and processes</li><li>Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial (if needed)</li><li>Familiarity with client billing guidelines</li><li>Experience recording billable hours and writing effective time entries</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience&nbsp;required</li><li>2+ years&rsquo; litigation experience in a law firm setting preferred</li><li>Defense consumer warranty and lemon law experience preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong>We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including everything you&rsquo;d expect -- medical, dental, and vision insurance; firm paid life insurance and short and long-term disability; retirement savings plan with employer profit sharing contributions, bonus programs and more. &nbsp;Our office is passionate about our clients and each other, seeking opportunities for achieving a high level of success while also having fun.
