Description
The Outside Parts Expert (OPE) is a sales position. The OPE is tasked with generating and increasing retail parts sales to customers within their defined Area of Responsibility (AOR) and to all assigned customers. They must be good stewards of the Company, cross sell departments, utilize and manage all company resources, meet revenue objectives and be above all reproach.

Generate a minimum sales volume per month as defined by the parts manager and parts director. Meet or exceed front counter growth percentages. Meet sales and gross profit objectives set by the parts manager and parts director. Make 9 to 12 in-person customer visits each business day. Respond to customer inquiries for parts sales via phone, email and other company approved methods of customer communication. Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly. Listen, exhibit energy and project a genuine willingness to assist. Generate new business as needed. Effectively communicate with clientele to ensure objective, ask pertinent open-ended questions and provide information to assist customer. Sell parts products that Boyer Trucks a Transwest Company distributes, without bias. Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers. Follow-up on customer orders and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction. Communicate often and timely with customer and associates. Communicate, resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions. Acquire a broad knowledge of Boyer Trucks as a whole in order to effectively sell parts. Display an ongoing effort to learn more about; Boyer Trucks, the industry and the parts we sell. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. Be processed focus and record departmental data; i.e. lost sales. Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc. Maintain familiarity with all inventory products and merchandising programs and ordering systems. Provide troubleshooting support and service to customers experiencing problems in the field and selling repair parts as needed. Document customer quality issues as they arise and work with the team to resolve issues in a cost effective and expeditious manner. Utilize company information systems to process orders timely and accurately. Understand dealership credit policies. Set an example of professionalism and positive attitude including a neat, orderly, safe work environment. Complete tasks within expenses budgeted for travel and entertainment. Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers face-to-face. Additional duties as assigned.
