Part Time Evening Carry Out Cafe Clerk Store #238

Pay Rate Starting at: Level $16.00/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority. SUMMARY The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Carry Out Café clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining prepared food products. The clerk is also responsible for providing remarkable customer service at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Carry Out Café operations, safety, and sanitation Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer questions about Carry Out Café products (i.e.: ready-made meals, packaged salads and subs) Maintain a clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e.: following recipes and cooking instructions) Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions, such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating product Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards Ensure proper temperatures and working condition of cases (hot and cold) as well as maintaining all equipment Complete all necessary paperwork Follow direction from the Carry Out Café Manager, perform tasks as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age to enter/work on the deli side of the department EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions Possess basic computer skills Possess strong communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS EQUIPMENT USED Oven/Stove Knives - Must be at least 16 yrs. of age Chicken Oven Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Cash Register Fryer Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Coffee Pot Pizza Oven - Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Computerized Scales Microwave Slicer -    Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Food Processor - Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Manual Wrapping Machine Toaster Dishwasher - Must be at least 18 yrs. of age Our Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
