Do you enjoy solving complex challenges in the field while mentoring others and delivering high-quality service?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a <strong>Sprinkler Service Technician </strong>to join our <strong>Fire Protection Services Team</strong> in <strong>Birmingham, AL; Cullman, AL; or Huntsville, AL</strong>, where you’ll play a critical role in inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining water-based fire protection systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. </p>\n<h2>What You'll Do:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform independent inspections and functional testing of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25 and company standards </li>\n <li>Diagnose system deficiencies, determine corrective actions, and complete repairs or adjustments to ensure compliance and full functionality </li>\n <li>Prepare accurate, detailed inspection reports documenting findings, test results, and recommended next steps </li>\n <li>Execute routine maintenance and service work, including replacing system components such as valves, gauges, and sprinkler heads</li>\n <li>Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, compliance requirements, and service recommendations </li>\n <li>Support and mentor junior technicians by providing technical guidance and assisting with complex troubleshooting</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience working with water-based fire protection systems required</li>\n <li>Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 25 requirements, with familiarity in NFPA 13, 14, and related codes</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of fire sprinkler components, inspection procedures, and system troubleshooting techniques</li>\n <li>Proven ability to read and interpret fire protection plans, acceptance reports, and inspection and testing reports</li>\n <li>Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills and a positive customer service attitude</li>\n <li>Proficiency with digital inspection tools and reporting platforms (e.g., ServiceTrade)</li>\n <li>Proven ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair complex fire sprinkler systems independently</li>\n <li>Ability to work in challenging environments, including heights, confined spaces, varied weather, and physically demanding conditions</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required and willingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work outside standard hours</li>\n <li>NICET Level II in Inspections and Testing of Water-Based Systems required; NICET III preferred or ability to obtain within one year</li>\n <li>Backflow certification and/or fire pump certification a plus </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why You'll Love It Here:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Take ownership of impactful fieldwork that directly enhances fire protection system performance and safety</li>\n <li>Grow your expertise while working on complex systems across diverse facilities and environments</li>\n <li>Contribute to a high-performing team culture that values technical excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Curious about the innovative work our Fire Protection team is doing?
