    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Coordinates the daily operations of the Engineering department for the hotel to ensure that the services exceed the expectations of the resort owners/guests. Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. This manager monitors both the productivity and qualitative work product for the Engineers and directs the completion of those assigned RFR projects. Walking the property completely a minimum of twice daily (AM and PM), the Chief Engineer determines and assigns work, maintenance projects, work orders and priorities to ensure that all quality standards are met.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Coordinates RFR schedules with property operations so as to minimize disruption to guests.</li>\n<li>Possess full knowledge of all matters relating to proper techniques as established by hotel/franchise requirements</li>\n<li>Manage staff to ensure that all areas of responsibility are properly covered and within budget.</li>\n<li>Assign all associates their duties, and inspect work for conformance to prescribed company/franchise standards of cleanliness.</li>\n<li>Record data concerning work assignments and special projects and prepare reports.</li>\n<li>Ensure that all guest requests you receive are satisfied in a timely and efficient manner. Investigate complaints and takes corrective action. Provides service in a highly professional manner at all times.</li>\n<li>Ensure that all department employees receive comprehensive training</li>\n<li>Complete associate safety training in compliance with PHR/franchise procedures and OSHA regulations. Report unsafe work conditions/practices and safety/security violations</li>\n<li>Review internal management reports to include: occupancy forecasts, night audit summary, payroll edits, man-hour and payroll reports, productivity results from the prior day, operating checkbook accounts and schedules</li>\n<li>Prepare any reports concerning room occupancy, payroll and departmental expenses</li>\n<li>Generate all department PO's (purchase orders) and PAF's/ADAP-RofD (personnel action form/developmental action notices) and forwards same to senior management for approval.</li>\n<li>Ensure that the resort maintains all QA standards as defined by PHR and any third party affiliations (Interval International or hotel franchiser) where applicable</li>\n<li>Perform month end inventories in a timely and accurate manner to ensure adequate supplies</li>\n<li>Formulates, affects, interprets and/or implements management policies, processes and procedures</li>\n<li>Performs work that affects business operations to a substantial degree, even if the assignments are related to the operation of a particular segment of the business.</li>\n<li>Assists in the management and execution of RFR projects, ensuring that they are on time, within budget, and at the level of quality according to the SSI manual.</li>\n<li>Provides consultation or expert advice to management in regards maintenance issues.</li>\n<li>Assists in the planning of long or short-term business objectives.</li>\n<li>Represents the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances.</li>\n<li>Assist with the departmental annual operating budgets</li>\n<li>Check on any and all special project work</li>\n<li>Successfully completes other duties as assigned.</li>\n<li><p>Perform Emergency Response duties as required by this role in the Emergency Response Organizational Chart and Plan </p></li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>TypeQualificationEducationCertification in electrical, mechanical or refrigeration preferredSkillExcellent English verbal and written communication skills.EducationHigh School Diploma required, College degree preferred.ExperiencePrior experience as a property level Chief Engineer preferred.SkillAbility to multi-task within specific time constraints.SkillAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.SkillAbility to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.SkillAble to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.",
