About the role Purpose Context To deliver exceptional customer support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and trust in our FinTech solutions. The role focuses on resolving customer issues efficiently, providing insightful guidance, and driving continuous improvement in service quality. OFT Oman operates in a fast-paced and innovative FinTech environment, providing cutting-edge financial solutions to customers globally. This role is critical to building strong customer relationships, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and industry standards. A.     ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES As the  FinOps Senior Specialist at Ooredoo Fintech , you will play a key role in managing and enhancing the company’s financial and operations functions. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day FinOps and card-related activities, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, accuracy, and seamless service delivery across all financial products and card services. The role requires a proactive, highly engaged, and detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of card operations, fintech processes, reconciliation, settlements, and transaction monitoring. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, Compliance, Customer Care, and external partners to support business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Your ability to identify operational gaps, improve workflows, and drive process optimization initiatives will be critical in supporting scalable fintech operations and maintaining operational integrity. B.      KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) ·       Manage end-to-end financial and operations, including transaction processing, reconciliation, settlements, card issuance, activation, maintenance, and replacements for physical and digital cards. ·       Monitor daily transactions and ensure timely processing, settlement, and reconciliation with banks, processors, card schemes, and third-party partners. ·       Handle card disputes, chargebacks, reversals, and operational exceptions in line with scheme rules and internal procedures. ·       Investigate and resolve operational discrepancies, transaction issues, and settlement variances within defined SLAs. ·       Collaborate with Product, Finance, Compliance, and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth operational delivery and service continuity. ·       Support operational readiness for new fintech products, card enhancements, and strategic initiatives. ·       Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and card scheme standards. ·       Maintain strong working relationships with banks, vendors, processors, and external partners. ·       Assist in audits, reporting activities, and operational reviews by providing accurate documentation and operational insights. ·       Develop, maintain, and improve operational procedures, workflows, SOPs, and control mechanisms. ·       Proactively identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and operational efficiency improvements. ·       Support the scaling of financial and card operations processes, systems, and controls in line with business growth objectives. ·       Contribute to enhancing customer experience by ensuring efficient issue resolution and operational excellence. C.      EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, or a related field. Experience in fintech, banking, digital payments, or card operations. Strong understanding of card operations, reconciliation, settlements, chargebacks, and transaction processing. Knowledge of card schemes, operational controls, and financial operations processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage operational risks effectively. Proactive, committed, and highly engaged mindset with a continuous improvement approach. Ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with operational reports, transactional analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Familiarity with fintech products such as remittance, wallets, loyalty, WPS, or digital payments is an advantage. Preferred Attributes Self-driven and proactive with strong ownership mindset. Ability to identify gaps and drive operational improvements independently. Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
