The role of the Senior Hydrogeologist is to perform tasks and project management assignments associated with environmental impact assessments; hydrogeological studies; phased environmental site assessments, including subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, and monitoring projects; sampling of soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater; production of maps; data interpretation/evaluation; groundwater modeling (analytical and/or numerical) and deliverable preparation as well as business development activities.</p>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><i>General Responsibilities</i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to and lead business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients</li>\n <li>Assist in analyzing current and emerging technical issues, and implementing actions to proactively address market, business, regulatory, and/or economic issues</li>\n <li>Identify new business opportunities and support the technical component of business development materials</li>\n <li>Responsible for planning and conducting assignments/projects having broad scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult tasks</li>\n <li>Provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to intermediate and junior level staff</li>\n <li>Apply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issues</li>\n <li>Execute specific technical tasks or requirements for medium to large projects</li>\n <li>Conduct peer reviews of work by colleagues or more junior practitioners</li>\n <li>Qualify as a Quality Reviewer and undertake Quality Reviews of deliverables</li>\n <li>Conduct a wide variety of hydrogeological assessment and development projects</li>\n <li>Participate in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work</li>\n <li>Assignments/projects are advanced in nature and require the application of mature knowledge</li>\n <li>Demonstrate sound understanding and application of established practices, standards and guidelines&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide technical expertise and support hydrogeological designs, proposals, and reports</li>\n <li>Develop conceptual hydrogeological models to support field program design</li>\n <li>Work with multi-disciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessment projects, feasibility studies, groundwater and surface water assessments, groundwater compliance, contaminant investigations, environmental assessments and permitting projects, rehabilitation projects, etc.</li>\n <li>Design and oversee implementation of hydrogeology field programs, including drilling and logging of overburden and bedrock core, sampling of soil and bedrock, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing (pump testing, slug testing, packer testing)</li>\n <li>Experience with Leapfrog, Surfer, AQTESOLV, ModFlow, FEFLOW, MT3D, or other groundwater modeling software is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>Hydrogeology Responsibilities</i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical expertise and support hydrogeological designs, proposals, and reports</li>\n <li>Develop conceptual hydrogeological models to support field program design</li>\n <li>Work with multi-disciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessment projects, feasibility studies, groundwater and surface water assessments, groundwater compliance, contaminant investigations, environmental assessments and permitting projects, rehabilitation projects, etc</li>\n <li>Design and oversee implementation of hydrogeology field programs, including drilling and logging of overburden and bedrock core, sampling of soil and bedrock, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing (pump testing, slug testing, packer testing)</li>\n <li>Experience with Leapfrog, Surfer, AQTESOLV, ModFlow, FEFLOW, MT3D, or other groundwater modeling software is an asset</li>\n</ul>",
