May initiate or authorize employee hire, promotion, discharge or transfer.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Essential Functions of Job: (List duties most critical to position) &nbsp;</p>\n<p>Supervisory Capacity: Direct Reports: 16-20&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Accountable for Maintenance of Production Equipment and some processes.</li>\n <li>Supervisory Responsibilities requiring adherence to Company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Develop, maintain, and administer a group qualified to maintain all equipment.</li>\n <li>Coordinate activities of workers engaged in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Analyse and resolve work problems, and/or assist workers in solving work problems.</li>\n <li>Execute effective predictive and preventative maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.</li>\n <li>Schedule and direct all maintenance personnel. Coordinate maintenance schedules for the most effective use. Coordinate the training of Maintenance Personnel. Participate in hiring, termination and disciplinary action of department personnel.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance problems and to keep manufacturing equipment operating in an efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Review various reports and confer as needed with the Production / Technical Manager to review problems and to ensure corrective action also establishes priorities to minimize downtime.</li>\n <li>Assure maintenance and repairs for all aspects of the plant equipment and facility.</li>\n <li>Maintains a preventive and predictive maintenance programs on all machinery, equipment, etc., with documentation and records necessary to support the program.</li>\n <li>Coordinate maintenance department inventory system to be certain adequate supply of material and repair parts are in stock to reduce production downtime due to breakdown of equipment.</li>\n <li>Maintain contact with manufactures’ representatives to keep abreast of latest developments and techniques in maintenance and repair fields. Ensure department is trained to the latest techniques.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Coordinate to ensure the facility is constantly in a clean and safe condition.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Additional Responsibilities: (List other duties performed by position)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments and adequate coverage for production, making sure overtime hours are assigned evenly across the team.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Recommend and justify modifications of existing equipment and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining maintenance tools and shop equipment.</li>\n <li>Direct support and involvement of new equipment at Launch, including review and approval of Technical Specifications, attendance at Design Reviews, and Equipment run-off prove out.</li>\n <li>Responsible for employee safety. Enforce safety compliance by ensuring the proper training is given in OSHA mandated regulations, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Welding Safety, Electrical Safety, etc. Ensure compliance with company safety rules and regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Required Education Level Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Engineering or similar. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for this position.</p>\n<p>Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge) 7-10 Minimum Years of Experience in related field (high volume manufacturing environment) with background in engineering and maintenance of equipment. 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge and experience with electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate skills in self-organization, planning, prioritizing, follow, delegation, and holding people accountable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Demonstrate ability of driving process control, change management and the use of data to drive decisions.</li>\n <li>Proficiency using internet based and PC based computer applications to record, analyze, and report information.</li>\n <li>Ability to handle extended hours when needed, specifically during equipment downtime or reacting to customer requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Willing to help other YFAI plants or provide resources when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Electrical Journeyman’s license preferred.</li>\n <li>3-5 Minimum Years of plastic processing.</li>\n <li>3-5 Technical supervisory experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with Urethane foam and vac wrap processes.</li>\n</ul>",
