    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Discuss and review system requirement documents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system specifications and technical requirements.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design and develop comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, and boundary scenarios. Create traceability matrices aligning test cases with system requirements</span></li>\n <li><span>Establish best verification practices for a new team, consistent with existing practices and tools used by sister team</span></li>\n <li><span>Validate management interface by testing optical provisioning, alarm, telemetry and software upgrade features over CLI and gRPC interfaces</span></li>\n <li><span>Conduct end to end testing of optical transmission systems including signal integrity validation, network resilience testing (protection switching, failure recovery), L1 performance benchmarking (BER, Q-factor, latency measurements, etc.) and L0 performance (optical power, spectrum and OSNR)</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop/maintain Python-based automation script. Implement CI/CD pipelines for regression testing using Jenkins/Gitlab</span></li>\n <li><span>Create test summary report for each release</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain daily sanity tests and run regression tests in each software load. Perform regression testing for software/hardware upgrades.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design new test cases based on customer findings or new feature requests</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>BA or BS in Engineering or Computer Science required.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>5+ years of experience in communication systems verification test</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience&nbsp;in automated northbound interface testing: Netconf/YANG, CLI, SNMP.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience&nbsp;in testing Linux based embedded systems.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience&nbsp;in Python or other script language for automation test.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience in network protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, OTN</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with DWDM optical systems, familiar with EDFA, WSS, OCM and OTDR</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with Transponder product, familiar with 100G, 400G, 800G L1 optical module desired</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity in lab bench debugging tools oscilloscopes,&nbsp;optical spectrum analyzers</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Programming languages: &nbsp;Python. Familiar with VS code environment.</span></li>\n <li><span>The ability to work independently with guidance from supervisor on specific tasks.</span></li>\n <li><span>Able to work and deliver on an aggressive schedule&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Self-starter, highly motivated, dedicated and teamwork oriented&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Good written and oral communication skills in English.
