    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Job Summary:The Maintenance Department is currently seeking a qualified individual to provide skilled technical servicesas a Ride Mechanic. This position falls under our agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO, District Lodge No. 947 and would be subject to the terms of the contract.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Activities include:</p>\n<p>· Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devices. Must also be willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by Supervision.</p>\n<p>· Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.</p>\n<p>· Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and conveyors, and performing millwright work.</p>\n<p>· Climbing/Inspecting track and structure.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>The ideal candidate must possess:</p>\n<p>· Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.</p>\n<p>· A valid California Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.</p>\n<p>· A basic set of hand tools.</p>\n<p>· Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.</p>\n<p>· Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights on ride structures.</p>\n<p>· Vocational or technical trade certifications.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.</p>",
