    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY </span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> </span></span></p>\n<p>This position will work in the Wet Chemistry department and will be responsible for assisting in running samples in our Chemistry Lab Areas. Areas of work included, but not limited to are: Fiber analyses, subsampling and allocation of bulk samples per client analyses request, operation of ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasmid) instrument, microwave acid digestion, dilution, and filtration of feed and forage sample for mineral analyses, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of sample results. </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Subsampling and allocation of bulk samples per client analysis request</li>\n<li>Perform fiber analyses: Acid and Neutral Detergent extractions, Lignin, Crude fiber, Invitro</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in maintaining a safe work environment</li>\n<li>Assist in gravimetric analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Process data entry into computer program</li>\n<li>Proficient use of Microsoft Excel</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep current on lab methods and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash glassware and labware by hand</li>\n<li>Handle wet glass and use a tube brush</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must:  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">be punctual and maintain a neat appearance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">be able to lift, carry, or pull objects up to 20 lbs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">be able to move around in a laboratory setting during a workday</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have strong verbal communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have a strong sense of customer service</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have good organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have excellent time management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have basic computer skills and use of various software programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have analytical skills and problem-solving ability</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">have strong listening skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">be able to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EQUIPMENT SKILLS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Personal computer</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Using a Balance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">ICP machine</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Basic laboratory equipment  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">High School Diploma or GED</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Previous lab experience or familiarity with lab environment (<em>preferred, but will train the right person</em>)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORK ENVIRONMENT  </span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Work is performed largely in a laboratory environment with a moderate noise level</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Will be exposed to strong smells of various natures at times</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">There may be occasions when the work environment is stressful</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Work schedule will normally be Monday through Friday.
