You have the capacity to follow directives and fulfill requests while proactively anticipating actions to meet needs. Your primary goal will be performing a variety of plant operations and quality control duties to assist in the effective and efficient operations of the plant while maintaining a focus on safety.</p><p>We are looking for an Operator at our Walker Emulsions Inc. Division Production Facility at our location in Portland. The salary range is between $22 - $27/hour based on qualifications and experience.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Operating process equipment including pumps, tanks, homogenizers, mixers, PLCs, and control panels to prepare batches of emulsions and/or other formulated products.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Using specialized software, prints batch sheets, prepares batches according to set formulations.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Collecting product samples in accordance with quality control procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Recording all process data in accordance with the requirements according to specifications and quality assurance/quality control processes.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Operating equipment such as forklifts, plant loaders, and trucks.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Adhering to preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs and guidelines for all plant equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Loading and offloading trucks containing raw materials, ranging from raw wax and other bulk liquids to totes, drums, and pails.</li></ul><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Here’s What You Need</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span>Proven experience in mechanical systems and/or equipment maintenance</span></p></li><li style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\">2-3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.</li><li style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Minimum of high school graduation or equivalent.&nbsp;</li><li><p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span>Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery</span></p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span>Strong understanding of mechanical components, tools, and safety procedures</span></p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span>Experience with routine inspections and minimizing equipment downtime is an asset.</span></p></li><li style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Flexibility to change work schedule or work additional hours as needed to meet customer demands and production schedule.</li><li style=\"line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Knowledge of WHMIS practices.</li></ul><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What’s in it for you&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">You become part of a team you can count on</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">A comprehensive total rewards package and benefits to support your wellbeing</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Leaders who support your growth and success</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">A workplace that provides the best health &amp; safety practices in industry</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Give back to your community with two paid volunteer days annually and opportunities to become involved in events</li></ul><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p>At Walker, your contribution matters.
