Description

Overview We are seeking a Landscape Architect / Project Manager with at least 7-10 years of experience in the development of public projects to join our Landscape Architecture team in the Fort Lauderdale, FL office. In this position you will work collaboratively with our Landscape Studio Manager and Senior Designers and oversee the development of landscape deliverables on a wide variety of public projects. Projects will range from public plazas and parks, playgrounds, municipal facilities, streetscapes and transportation projects. Clients include municipalities, counties and state agencies. WGI offers a complete Benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD & STD, Life Insurance, 401k with match, PTO, Holidays, HSA with company contribution, Pet insurance, and Employee assistance program. #LI-onsite Responsibilities Development of landscape plan packages; including landscape, hardscape, and irrigation plans from concept through construction Provide quality control review of landscape deliverables prior to sign/sealing the deliverables Development of project construction cost estimates Coordination with clients and sub-consultants and act as liaison to government agencies Internal coordination with planning and engineering teams Attend public meetings and community outreach meetings Work with Studio Manager to maintain project schedules and budgets Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university 7-10 years related experience with current licensure or in the process of becoming licensed in the State of Florida Proficiency in Microstation a plus Must understand the relationship between design and constructability Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational skills Proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus LIAF or ISA certifications a plus Ability to work as a team, or independently Night and weekend work may be required Travel to other office locations may be required Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work is performed in an office setting. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse. Use of a telephone headset will allow for virtual communication with team members through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
