    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Pay rate:</strong>&nbsp;$20.00- $24.00, &nbsp;based on experience &amp; qualifications</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></p><p>Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is seeking to fill a full-time Bus Driver position to drive a 20+ passenger bus and/or 14-passenger van. Hours of availability 32.5 hours per week Monday &ndash; Friday, no holidays. RFU is a national leader in interprofessional research and practices, and is nationally recognized for its research in areas including neuroscience, brain-related diseases, inherited disorders, proteomics, cancer cell biology and immunology, cardiac resuscitation, and gait and balance. &nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Operates vehicle in a safe manner, complying with all Federal and State laws.&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with university and department policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports to dispatcher via radio any route detours, or whenever passengers might require assistance of police, medical, or other services.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports passenger counts.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains daily vehicle inspection logs and completes accident/incident reports when necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic maintenance of vehicle.&nbsp;</li><li>Must complete pre-trip checks of vehicle.&nbsp;</li><li>Other special duties assigned or required will come from the immediate supervisor.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Conditions of Employment</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check, pre-employment drug screen and a general physical</li><li>Must be able to pass random drug screenings.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong><strong><u>Required Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma / GED or equivalent</li><li>Must be at least 25 years of age, and have a valid class &ldquo;B or C&rdquo;, with passenger endorsement, Illinois Commercial Driver&rsquo;s license.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a stable work history and a record of safe driving (5+ years).</li><li>Prior experience transporting passengers.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Excellent knowledge of the roads and routes you&rsquo;re driving on.</li><li>Confident driving skills.</li><li>Excellent understanding of the Highway Code and traffic regulations.</li><li>Professional, responsible, assertive, and understanding manner.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ten plus years of driving passengers.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong><strong><u>Typical Physical Demands &amp; Working Conditions</u></strong></p><ul><li>Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.</li><li>Prolonged periods of sitting and driving.</li><li>Some lifting and bending.</li><li>Position requires physical and mental alertness</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>EOE, Including Disability / Vets</p></div></div>\n",
