POSITION SUMMARY:
Person in this position will be responsible for general client supervision and general program operation. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide on-site after-hours supervision.
Serve as a facility manager during shift hours.
Oversee all program and facility operations during evening and overnight hours
Maintain daily log of evening activities and incidents.
Respond to afterhours emergencies, contact medical, psychiatric or custody staff if necessary.
Maintain safety and security of facility
Answer phones.
Ensure that residents comply with program rules.
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
Participate in daily shift change including documenting in facility log at the end of the shift and thoroughly reviewing the log at the beginning of the shift.
Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
COMPENTENCIES:
Must possess knowledge of chemical dependency, substance abuse and personality dynamics of the substance abuser.
Basic computer skills.
Good documentation skills.
Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Must be sensitive to populations served.
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from LEIE.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.
CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience in signs and symptoms of substance abuse and the recovery process is preferred.
Associates Degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred; and
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Alcohol and Drug Registration and actively pursuing Certification, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is primarily performed in an office or in a residential treatment setting; and
Some outdoor activities may be required.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</em></span></p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><em><strong><u>COMPENTENCIES:</u></strong></em></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Must possess knowledge of chemical dependency, substance abuse and personality dynamics of the substance abuser.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Basic computer skills.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Good documentation skills.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Professional appearance and demeanor.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Must be sensitive to populations served.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from LEIE.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test. </span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><strong><u>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Experience in signs and symptoms of substance abuse and the recovery process is preferred.</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Associates Degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred; and</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">High school diploma or equivalent is required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><strong><u>LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:</u></strong></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Alcohol and Drug Registration and actively pursuing Certification, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is preferred.</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIONS:</u></strong></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Work is primarily performed in an office or in a residential treatment setting; and</span></li>\n\t<li style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">Some outdoor activities may be required.</span></li>\n</ul>",
