Description

Description The Wu laboratory pursues an integrated translational research program aimed at defining cancer signaling networks and therapy ‑ induced adaptive responses in breast and ovarian cancers. The lab leverages quantitative proteomics and phosphoproteomics to map signaling pathways, and protein interactomes that drive therapeutic response and resistance, enabling discovery of biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Dr. Wu ’ s group uses molecular and cellular approaches and unique, tissue ‑ specific genetically engineered mouse models to validate key signaling discoveries and their oncogenic roles in cancer initiation and progression. Insights from these studies directly inform the development and preclinical evaluation of therapeutic humanized monoclonal antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). This integrated pipeline provides postdoctoral fellows with opportunities to conduct hypothesis ‑ driven research spanning discovery, in vivo validation, and therapeutic translation. The successful candidate will pursue independent, yet highly collaborative research aligned with the laboratory’s ongoing federal and foundation ‑ funded studies. The position provides opportunities to: Design and execute mechanistically driven studies in cancer signaling, therapeutic resistance, and translational biology. Apply state ‑ of ‑ the ‑ art proteomic and molecular profiling technologies. Contribute to and learn advanced in vivo studies, including transgenic mouse models, PDX, and organoid systems. Participate in therapeutic development and preclinical evaluation of biologic agents. Publish in high ‑ impact journals and receive strong mentorship in scientific communication, grant writing, and career development. Qualifications Ph.D. in cancer biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline Strong foundation in molecular and cellular biology or signaling biology Experience with proteomics, bioinformatics, or in vivo models is a plus but not required Interest in translational research and therapeutic development Demonstrated productivity, creativity, and strong written and verbal communication skills Organization Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations. Today, our employees are located at our three major campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, Jacksonville, Florida, Rochester, Minnesota, and at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities, and at our international locations. Each Mayo Clinic location is a special place where our employees thrive in both their work and personal lives. Learn more about what each unique Mayo Clinic campus has to offer, and where your best fit is. Equal Opportunity All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, protected veteran status or disability status. Learn more about the "EOE is the Law" . Mayo Clinic participates in E-Verify and may provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Company Why Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic is top-ranked in more specialties than any other care provider according to U.S. News & World Report.
