We offer clients advanced in house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn key solutions. In our busy industry, we consistently manage a strong and steady backlog of work extending well beyond a year, which ensures a secure and reliable workflow. We are seeking a qualified Intermediate Electrician to fill a permanent full time position. The successful candidate must be a team player and have technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring. The candidate must also have a great attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve potential problems. Join our team and thrive in a role that boasts a safe and clean indoor facility, equipped with state of the art amenities including new machinery, overhead cranes and 15+ welding machines. Duties and responsibilities: Install equipment as per the general arrangement drawings Install conduit and cable as per electrical schematics Wiring of various types of instrumentation and controls Assemble and wire custom control panels Ensure manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered to. Confirm wiring of components as they are completed. Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediately Redline drawings as required during assembly Review finished assembly for accuracy. Occasional Site work and associated travel Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Other assigned duties as required Skills Electrical Assembly Basic Troubleshooting Read Schematic Drawings Understanding of instrumentation/device wiring and motor controls Understanding User Manuals Moderate knowledge of the Canadian Electric Code Part 1 Hours 7:00am 3:30pm HSE / Quality Responsibilities and Duties Immediately report any accident / incident and collaborate in its investigation Interrupt work when conditions are unsafe, create safe work environment when possible and report to upper management Maintain orderly and clean work areas Use and maintain in good condition the safety equipment, work tools and personal protective equipment for the group. Work in a safe manner Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent Accredited trade school or equivalent Experience: 3+ Years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent 3+ Years as a junior electrician or equivalent Benefits Industry Leading Compensation AWC offers competitive, industry leading compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance.
