Description

Program Coordinator – Higher Level of Care Services (Licensed Clinical Role) Position Overview The Program Coordinator of Higher Level of Care Services is a licensed clinical leadership position responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating program operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered behavioral health services. This role works collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and Director of Clinical Services to support daily operations, staff oversight, and continuous quality improvement, while maintaining compliance with agency policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements. This position requires an active clinical license and includes both supervisory and direct clinical responsibilities , including providing individual, family, and group therapy. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Program Oversight Assist the Clinical Supervisor and Director of Clinical Services in overseeing daily program operations to ensure effective service delivery using a strength-based, recovery-oriented, and integrated care model , incorporating illness management and recovery principles. Ensure all services meet clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on client safety, engagement, and outcomes. Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients, staff, and visitors. Staff Supervision & Leadership Support clinical leadership in managing and coordinating direct care staff, including task delegation, group scheduling, break coverage, crisis response, and program implementation. Provide professional administrative and clinical mentoring to assigned staff to support clinical excellence, staff development, risk management, and the agency’s mission. Facilitate and participate in staff orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training for new and existing staff. Participate actively in weekly staff meetings, clinical conferences, and case consultations. Quality Assurance & Program Improvement Monitor ongoing quality assurance standards and outcomes. Collect, analyze, and report data related to service delivery, client satisfaction, and program effectiveness. Proactively recommend and implement improvements to program processes and service delivery based on outcome measures and consumer satisfaction surveys. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Quality Assurance (QA) reports. Clinical Services Provide direct clinical services , including individual, family, and group therapy, in accordance with licensure scope of practice and the Clinical Therapist job description. Utilize evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing , to support client engagement and treatment outcomes. Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld in all client, staff, and provider interactions. Care Coordination & Collaboration Serve as a liaison between clinical programs, internal departments, clients, and external providers. Educate stakeholders about available services during care coordination, outreach, and collaboration efforts. Maintain respectful, professional communication with all parties while safeguarding client confidentiality. Operational Support Provide program coverage as needed, including schedule modifications or additional hours to ensure continuity of care. Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and organizational needs. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related clinical field. Current and active clinical license required : LPC, LCSW, or LCADC (must be valid and in good standing). Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or clinical leadership experience . Demonstrated ability to provide direct clinical services within scope of licensure. Strong knowledge of recovery-oriented, integrated care, and behavioral health best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic documentation. Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and documentation skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. High level of professionalism, sound clinical judgment, and ability to motivate and support staff.
