We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong></p>\n<p>Inspect all phases of construction on highway construction and maintenance projects. The Inspector oversees, monitors and independently inspects routine Railroad, Amtrak and/or WMATA update inspection. Measures, tests, and checks materials, methods, and installations to ensure contractor conformance with plans, specifications, and contract documents. Documents contractor progress on a daily basis, inputs data into automated software systems, and generates reports and correspondence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)</li>\n <li>Good communication skills</li>\n <li>Prepare Daily Reports</li>\n <li>Monitor Quality Control Testing</li>\n <li>Measure Quantities for payments</li>\n <li>Monitor Contractor Schedules</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>10-15 years of construction experience</li>\n <li>High school graduate/GED</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What we prefer you bring: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Amtrak and/or WMATA station update inspection a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Compensation:</strong>The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000.
