    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Cleans and services building areas; move furniture, equipment and supplies in and around hospital departments; and performs a variety of environmental services’ duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.&nbsp;</p><p><br>• Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, windows, tiles, fixtures, equipment and floors; vacuums, dusts and polishes specified areas and/or furnishings; sanitizes and disinfects bathroom areas.<br>• Gathers and transports refuse from assigned areas to appropriate disposal location.<br>• Reports needed repairs/alterations or situations requiring follow up attention to department supervisor as they occur.<br>• Selects and prepares cleaning materials and supplies for transport to work area at the beginning of the shift.<br>• Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements, as well as hospital mandatory requirements.<br>• Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos, and other hazardous substances.<br>• Participates in all hospital established programs for improving hand hygiene compliance.&nbsp;<br>• Fully participates with all hospital programs geared towards improving the patient experience.&nbsp;<br>• Complies with all facility protocols established for reducing Hospital Acquired Infections and improving patient safety outcomes.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>COMPETENCIES AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Ability to read, write and understand instructions in English. Required.</strong></li><li><strong>A minimum of three years of relevant cleaning experience, preferred but not required.</strong></li><li><strong>&nbsp;High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;</li></ul>",
