We have an in-house Architectural Finishes &amp; Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are seeking an experienced Aviation Superintendent for our Houston office</span>. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you will do: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.</li>\n<li>Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions</li>\n<li>Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.</li>\n<li>Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions</li>\n<li>Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.</li>\n<li>Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors daily construction procedures to make sure that proper quality is achieved.</li>\n<li>Maintains consistent daily communication with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.</li>\n<li>Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you will need to be successful: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Desired Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of construction (Aviation preferred) experience in all facets of the project. Must also have experience with safety, preconstruction, staff development, and retention and customer interaction. Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout, etc.</li>\n<li>Minimum of two (2) years of Aviation experience is required.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret construction documents, knowledge of construction methods and materials, strong team leadership skills and ability to communicate are all required skills. Candidate must also have time management and project organizational skills to be successful in this role. Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of such.</li>\n<li>Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.</li>\n<li>Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), prior experience with scheduling software is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Rycon Construction, Inc. we believe outstanding employees build the foundation necessary for excellence in business.
