This role combines technical excellence with leadership, client engagement, and commercial responsibility.</p>\n<p>You will also play a key role in developing engineering capability within the team and shaping mechanical design standards across the office.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></p>\n<p>In this senior role, you will be trusted with significant responsibility and autonomy. You will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead mechanical engineering design across multiple concurrent projects</li>\n<li>Act as the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">technical authority</span> for mechanical building services within the team</li>\n<li>Oversee design delivery from concept through detailed design, construction, and handover</li>\n<li>Develop mechanical system strategies aligned with client briefs, performance targets, and regulatory requirements</li>\n<li>Manage and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key technical advisor</li>\n<li>Provide technical governance and quality assurance across all mechanical project outputs</li>\n<li>Lead coordination with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and external stakeholders</li>\n<li>Review and approve contractor submissions, technical designs, and installation methodologies</li>\n<li>Oversee project budgets, resource planning, and commercial performance of mechanical packages</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with relevant European, German, and international mechanical standards</li>\n<li>Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and low-carbon design strategies across projects</li>\n<li>Lead site inspections, technical audits, and ensure design intent is maintained through construction</li>\n<li>Mentor and develop engineers at all levels, supporting technical and professional growth</li>\n<li>Contribute to business development, bids, and technical proposals</li>\n<li>Support strategic development of the mechanical discipline within the Berlin office</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your Experience</span></p>\n<p>To be considered for this role, you should have:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">8+ years’ experience</span> in mechanical building services engineering within a consultancy environment</li>\n<li>Proven experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary building projects in Germany</li>\n<li>Strong track record in client-facing and project leadership roles in German</li>\n<li>Experience managing design teams and mentoring engineers according to German Standards and building codes</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, fire fighting and plumbing services</li>\n<li>Ability to manage technical delivery, commercial performance, and project risk according to local market requirements and client expectations</li>\n<li>Proficiency in key design tools such as:\n<ul>\n<li>AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks</li>\n<li>Nova AVA</li>\n<li>LiNear, MagiCAD, Solar Computer -or equivalent thermal modelling tools</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.</li>\n<li>Experience delivering projects across Data Center, Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, or Hospitality sectors</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of energy efficiency, low-carbon design, and building performance principles</li>\n<li>Familiarity with European and German mechanical design standards and regulations</li>\n<li>Experience contributing to business development or bid support activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:
