    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose of Position:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the direction of the QC Manager, the QC Technician is responsible for performing QA/QC testing in compliance with all applicable ASTM, ACI, &amp; Job Specific Standards and other associated tasks by direction</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilties: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working in safe professional manner</li>\n<li>Communication with everyone (QC Manager, Dispatch, Customers, Drivers, etc.)</li>\n<li>Performing proper plastic concrete testing at the plants and on jobsites in accordance with all applicable standards</li>\n<li>Ensure all materials meet or exceed all applicable state and job specifications</li>\n<li>Reporting: Ensure that all appropriate reports are properly filled out and recorded into the Command QC data base</li>\n<li>Monitor and test aggregate conditions for compliance with applicable standards at the plant level</li>\n<li>Properly logging in, breaking and recording results of concrete cylinders</li>\n<li>Acknowledge customer complaints/claims and take appropriate actions to resolve matter with reduction in liability whenever possible</li>\n<li>Attend pre-pour and other jobsite meetings as required</li>\n<li>Participate in Research and Development of new products</li>\n<li>Conduct and assist as needed with employee and customer training programs</li>\n<li>Participate in cross training of all departments at Shafer Redi-Mix / Shafer Bros</li>\n<li>Other related duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a valid driver’s license</li>\n<li>Knowledge of and dedication to quality assurance / quality control principles and standards</li>\n<li>Completion of MCA/ACI Field Technician Level 1 or higher</li>\n<li>Attention to detail and ability to follow through without direction and constant supervision</li>\n<li>Operational knowledge of batch plants, mixers and related processes</li>\n<li>Good organizational and planning skills</li>\n<li>Excellent Customer service ability</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft office</li>\n<li>Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations</li>\n<li>Adaptability and flexibility to be able to adjust to continuous change</li>\n<li>Team player</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work requires walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting (100 lb minimum) objects (wheelbarrow, etc.)</li>\n<li>Must be able to start work early mornings and work long hours according to seasonal and market demands</li>\n<li>Must be able to work in all weather conditions</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hourly wage based on experience</li>\n<li>Company vehicle to drive during<br>work hours</li>\n<li>Health Insurance options eligible after 30 days with up to 100% covered premiums for employee and family</li>\n<li>Dental and Vision insurance offered after 30 days</li>\n<li>Holiday pay after 30 days</li>\n<li>Employer paid Group Term Life Insurance after 30 days</li>\n<li>Company paid Accident, Critical Illness and Short-Term Disability Insurance after 90 days</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off accrual from first day</li>\n<li>401(k) with Employer Match Contribution after 6 months</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Sam’s Club Membership</li>\n</ul>",
