    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Technical Associates is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work on projects for industrial clients. Will work with closely with our clients on a daily basis, under the direction of multiple engineers and project managers. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering project execution, strong working knowledge of manufacturing and process plant environments, and be fully proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requires local travel to client site (mileage to/from office is reimbursed) for meetings, field inspections, and startup.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Designer will work with project engineer to conduct field data collection; will generate construction drawings based on measurements and sketches. On site work conditions will include an industrial facilities environment, including wide temperature range.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5 years of industrial mechanical design experience</li>\n <li>Tech School diploma or equivalent experience</li>\n <li>Understanding of basic engineering technology and manufacturing techniques</li>\n <li>Experience would include the following: machine design or mechanism design with capability of working on other systems such as conveyors, pumps, piping, fans, duct, P&IDs, or equipment layouts preferred.</li>\n <li>Must be fully proficient in working in both 2D and 3D drawings</li>\n <li>Familiarity with 3D Laser equipment a plus.  Open to training on scanning and modeling.</li>\n <li>Solid Works or AutoCAD Inventor strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to actively contribute to the design process and assist in problem solving within a teamwork setting.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills, both verbal and written</li>\n <li>Self-motivated</li>\n <li>Able to take direction from supervising engineer</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to climb ladders, stairways, and access equipment</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb caged personnel ladder</li>\n <li>Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area (may be 1 mile+), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies</li>\n</ul>",
