From our ancillary specialists and technical designers to our strategists, project managers, and leadership team, everything we undertake has one common goal: to make work better. Compensation range: $80,000 - $89,000 Annually The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications. Employee Benefits: 15 days of PTO 9 Paid holidays Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Profit Sharing 401k + Employer Match Paid Parental Leave Wellness App with reimbursement of up to $500 per year Position Summary Location : San Francisco, CA Hours : Day shift, Monday - Friday This is a career-level design position. Works both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop creative interior space solutions to meet customer needs. Includes engaging with customers to gather project information (surveys, interviews, data collection, observations), performing field verifications, space planning, furniture and material selections, product specification, and quality assurance. Involved in design projects and related tasks from inception to final installation. Responsibilities: Distill and analyze project information. Conduct product research and contact vendors for pricing and information. Engage with customers to gather project information (surveys, interviews, data collection, observations) and to uncover customer challenges. Perform field measurements and inventory products. Specify furniture and finishes required per the final layouts. Produce and present design concepts to customers. Generate, organize, and maintain CAD/CET files. Produce furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings; create, revise, and plot design drawings. Develop validation packages and spreadsheets. Delegate and coordinate independently with Design support teams. Estimate budgetary hours and manage and monitor project hours. Prepare design budgets and design proposals. Responsible for individual tasks and duties as well as overall project results and outcomes. Serve as a mentor for other designers. Assist in the onboarding process. Track and manage time entries daily. Qualifications: Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Interior or Architectural Design, Associate Arts degree or equivalent from a two-year college will be considered, with at least 5 years of related design experience. Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or National Architecture Board (NAB) accreditation preferred. Prior experience with system furniture products is a plus. One or more professional certifications encouraged: NCIDQ, CID, LEED AP, WELL AP, EDAC, 6 Sigma, PMI, etc. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies Acute attention to detail. Composed and cool under pressure. Ability to learn quickly when facing new problems. Practices attentive listening. Clearly and comfortably delegates both routine and important tasks to design support partners. Pursues tasks and projects with energy, drive, and a need to finish and overcome obstacles. Picks up on the need to change personal, interpersonal, and managerial behavior quickly. Uses logic to solve difficult problems. Quickly learns new technical skills and knowledge. Uses their time effectively, values the time of others, and sets important priorities. Plans and accurately scopes out the length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals. Professional ability to apply Interior Design principles, to include texture, color, form, function, materiality balance, rhythm, repetition, proximity, symmetry, biophilia, cognition, and perception. Professional understanding of building codes, regulations, and ADA. Ability to apply commercial furniture products and systems, furnishings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to draw/sketch by hand. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to provide solutions to client needs. Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making. Physical Requirements Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, hand and finger dexterity, and the ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, ability to get to project sites. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Judgement/decision making, analysis/comprehension Working EnvironmentGenerally, works in an office environment with moderate noise. The nature of work may require time spent out of the office at client locations or other One Workplace offices. Reliable access to transportationis required.
