This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Other specialties you will find at our facility include limb lengthening and reconstruction, spine care, muscular and neuromuscular care, orthotics and prosthetics and plastic surgery.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a <strong>Nurse Manager</strong> in our Inpatient and PACU departments. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.   </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. </li>\n <li>The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit. </li>\n <li>Responsibilities include assessment, direction, planning, evaluating, and development of the In-patient Nursing and PACU divisions in coordination with the identified needs of patients and families.</li>\n <li>This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided. </li>\n <li>The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.    </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<p>Bachelor’s degree (BSN)</p>\n<p>Active RN license in state of practice</p>\n<p>5 years’ experience as a clinical nurse</p>\n<p>5 years’ experience charge nurse / team lead</p>\n<p>Critical care experience</p>\n<p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<p>1 year of pediatric and/or orthopedic experience</p>\n<p>1 year experience in clinical research</p>\n<p>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification</p>\n<p>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification</p>",
