    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>POSITION PURPOSE: &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Under the direction and supervision of the TRIO Academic Advisor-Special Populations Coordinator, professional tutors will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to students.</p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend required training sessions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Incorporate skills learned in training to daily practice with students.</li>\n <li>Understand the curriculum and course requirements within their subject area, and teach in a manner to support it.</li>\n <li>Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to students, incorporating:&nbsp;\n  <ul>\n   <li>Learning opportunities that address multiple learning styles</li>\n   <li>Practices that address affective factors such as anxiety</li>\n   <li>Study skills that empower the student to learn</li>\n   <li>Technology such as computers and tablet PCs, with related software</li>\n   <li>Must be willing to tutor using TEAMS/ZOOM video conferencing</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Be punctual and notify the supervisor of any delays or absences from work.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br/><strong>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br/><u>Required:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with course work in the subject area you will tutor with a grade of B or higher</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Preferred:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior TRIO participant</li>\n <li>Tutoring and/or teaching experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br/><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong><br/>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.</li>\n <li>Busy working environment with numerous interruptions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SALARY:</strong> $15&nbsp;per hours / up to 19 hours per week</p>",
