In this role, you’ll perform MIG welding and fabrication work to repair and recertify railcars, following strict quality and safety standards. Safety is non-negotiable — if it’s not safe, we don’t do it. You’ll be expected to follow Lock Out/Tag Out, confined space, PPE, and all safety procedures every time. We’re looking for welders with prior experience, a strong work ethic, and a serious commitment to doing the job the right way.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Must be able to perform repairs and maintenance on railcars entering the shop and surrounding ADM facilities.</li><li>Perform MIG welding to repair, rebuild, and reinforce railcars as needed.</li><li>Conduct railcar inspections and document findings; assist in determining repair needs.</li><li>Execute cutting, grinding, gouging, and metal preparation work using torches and other tools.</li><li>Safely operate shop equipment such as forklift and railcar mover as needed.</li><li>Follow all Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when working on railcars, equipment, or energized systems to ensure personal and team safety.</li><li>Work in confined spaces and at heights using fall protection equipment.</li><li>Complete required documentation for repairs and inspections per ADM procedures.</li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and any issues.</li><li>Follow all company and regulatory safety practices and procedures without exception.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.</li></ul><strong>Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Prior experience with MIG welding required; must pass a welding and torch-cutting test.</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator.</li><li>Manufacturing, production, or military background preferred.</li><li>Safety-first mindset; adherence to all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>Strong attendance record and reliability.</li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary.</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.</li></ul><strong>On-The-Job Training Requirements:</strong><ul><li>New colleagues will need to undergo on-the-job training to acquire skills and certifications, which will be assessed according to established standards</li><li>Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training</li><li>Participate in company planner operations training</li><li>Equipment training may include but not limited to JLP, Forklift, Non-DOT Truck, Reach Lift, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.</li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 55 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently.</li><li>Walking up to two (2) miles per shift over uneven surfaces and railroad tracks.</li><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasonal conditions.</li><li>Ability to work in dusty, noisy environments (hearing protection provided).</li><li>Atmosphere: Dust (Peanut - known allergen), cotton, canola seed, and odor&nbsp;</li><li>Company provided protective clothing required: Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and safety harness may be required based on task performed; employees are required to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) (i.e., hard-hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements.&nbsp;Employees in roles that require respirators will need to be clean shaven.&nbsp;</li></ul>ADM requires the successful completion of&nbsp;a&nbsp;background check.&nbsp;<br><br>REF:109004BR",
