Our mission is to provide individuals and families with the tools to enrich their lives and build healthy, inclusive communities.</p><p data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"736\">We welcome talented individuals from diverse backgrounds who are inspired by our mission and motivated to make a positive impact in people&rsquo;s lives.</p><hr data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"741\"><h3 data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"763\">Program Overview</h3><p data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"1061\">Under the direction of the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL), the Consortium for Worker Education (CWE) will develop and implement a network of NYC workforce service providers offering job training, credentialing, and job placement services to approximately 2,400 young workers.</p><p data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1487\">At least 75% of participants will be out-of-school, unemployed, or underemployed young adults residing in zip codes impacted by high rates of gun violence. This initiative treats gun violence as a public health crisis, combining short-term solutions with long-term, community-based intervention and prevention strategies. A key prevention strategy focuses on providing access to and readiness for meaningful career pathways.</p><hr data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1492\"><h3 data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1514\">Position Summary</h3><p data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1632\">The Workforce Instructor is responsible for facilitating a variety of training courses, including but not limited to:</p><ul><li data-start=\"1636\" data-end=\"1661\">Food Protection License</li><li data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1685\">Retail Fundamentals</li><li data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1713\">Basic Computer Literacy</li><li data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1731\">First Aid/CPR</li><li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1754\">Driver&rsquo;s Education</li><li data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1763\">OSHA</li></ul><p data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"2048\">The ideal candidate is passionate about empowering youth and supporting participants throughout both training and follow-up phases.
