    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention for cardiovascular procedures.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serves as a role model and supports Cardiology department goals and strategies.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage care.</li>\n <li>Assesses patient condition, age-specific needs, and ensures safe, effective care delivery.</li>\n <li>Educates patients and ensures comfort, safety, and understanding of procedures.</li>\n <li>Accurately collects, verifies, and documents patient history and clinical data.</li>\n <li>Performs and supports procedures, including imaging, monitoring, scrub assistance, and aseptic technique.</li>\n <li>Operates and troubleshoots complex equipment; ensures image quality and radiation safety.</li>\n <li>Maintains workflow efficiency, inventory, compliance, and participates in leadership, quality, and competency initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>One of the following criteria must be met: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>CVT—RCIS or RCES: High school diploma or GED</li>\n <li>RRT or CRT: Associate degree from an accredited respiratory therapy education program.</li>\n <li>R.T.(R): Completion of an accredited radiography program.</li>\n <li>Paramedic—NREMT-P: Completion of an accredited paramedic education program.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have one of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)</li>\n   <li>Cardiovascular Intervention (CI) certification</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>In addition to the requirements above, must possess and maintain one of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)—Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.</li>\n   <li>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) in the state of Alabama.</li>\n   <li>Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))—Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensed in the state of Alabama.• Paramedic—National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification. Must also have a valid Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p>Three (3) years’ experience in Cardiac Catheterization lab experience required.</p>",
