Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Colorado — On Site
Travel: Local (typically within 1 hour; occasional trips up to 2.5 hours)
Reports To: Supervisor / Project Leadership

The Role
The Asbestos Worker performs asbestos abatement and related field operations in accordance with regulatory standards and Tasman’s safety-first protocols. This role works closely with crew members to remove asbestos-containing materials such as industrial pipe wrap and gaskets.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a team environment. This position is primarily field-based with minimal travel.
What You’ll Be Doing
Administrative Responsibilities
Complete daily timecards and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms
Submit incident reports when required
Maintain daily communication with supervisors and crew members
Field Operations
Perform asbestos abatement following federal, state, and local regulations
Handle, remove, and properly dispose of asbestos-containing materials
Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures
Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, lifting, and hand auguring
Secure job sites at the end of each workday
What You Bring
Required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a crew
High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
Physical capability to work in demanding environments
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years relevant experience
Experience in asbestos abatement
Valid Colorado asbestos abatement certifications
Ability to follow strict safety protocols
Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Background in construction, restoration, or mold remediation
Experience with asbestos pipeline removal
Bilingual (Spanish & English)
Work Environment
This position operates outdoors in conditions that may include:
Field Conditions:
Exposure to rain, snow, heat, and cold
Contact with contaminated soil and asbestos materials
Use of full PPE, including respirators
Walking on uneven terrain and working in physically demanding environments
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Stand for 2–3 hours at a time
Walk short distances repeatedly throughout the workday
Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evenings or weekends depending on project needs
Full-time (40 hours+ depending on workload)
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years experience in asbestos abatement
Valid Colorado asbestos certifications
Ability to safely perform work in hazardous environments
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must possess a valid driver’s license

This role works closely with crew members to remove asbestos-containing materials such as industrial pipe wrap and gaskets.\\n\\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a team environment. This position is primarily field-based with minimal travel.\\n\\n\\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\\n\\nAdministrative Responsibilities\\n\\n\\n\\tComplete daily timecards and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms\\n\\tSubmit incident reports when required\\n\\tMaintain daily communication with supervisors and crew members\\n\\n\\nField Operations\\n\\n\\n\\tPerform asbestos abatement following federal, state, and local regulations\\n\\tHandle, remove, and properly dispose of asbestos-containing materials\\n\\tInspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation\\n\\tUse appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures\\n\\tPerform general labor tasks including shoveling, lifting, and hand auguring\\n\\tSecure job sites at the end of each workday\\n\\n\\n\\nWhat You Bring\\n\\nRequired\\n\\n\\n\\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a crew\\n\\tHigh attention to detail and commitment to safety\\n\\tStrong verbal and written communication skills\\n\\tAbility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks\\n\\tPhysical capability to work in demanding environments\\n\\tHigh school diploma or equivalent\\n\\t2+ years relevant experience\\n\\tExperience in asbestos abatement\\n\\tValid Colorado asbestos abatement certifications\\n\\tAbility to follow strict safety protocols\\n\\tValid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.\\n\\n\\nPreferred\\n\\n\\n\\tBackground in construction, restoration, or mold remediation\\n\\tExperience with asbestos pipeline removal\\n\\tBilingual (Spanish & English)\\n\\n\\n\\nWork Environment\\n\\nThis position operates outdoors in conditions that may include:\\n\\nField Conditions:\\n\\n\\n\\tExposure to rain, snow, heat, and cold\\n\\tContact with contaminated soil and asbestos materials\\n\\tUse of full PPE, including respirators\\n\\tWalking on uneven terrain and working in physically demanding environments\\n\\n\\nPhysical Demands:\\n\\n\\n\\tLift up to 50 lbs. occasionally\\n\\tStand for 2–3 hours at a time\\n\\tWalk short distances repeatedly throughout the workday\\n\\tFrequent use of hands for handling tools and materials\\n\\n\\n\\nSchedule\\n\\n\\n\\tMonday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\\n\\tOccasional evenings or weekends depending on project needs\\n\\tFull-time (40 hours+ depending on workload)\\n\\n\\n\\nRequired Education & Experience\\n\\n\\n\\tHigh school diploma or equivalent\\n\\t2+ years experience in asbestos abatement\\n\\tValid Colorado asbestos certifications\\n\\tAbility to safely perform work in hazardous environments\\n\\n\\n\\nWork Authorization\\n\\n\\n\\tMust be authorized to work in the United States\\n\\tMust possess a valid driver’s license\\n\\n\\n\\nOther Duties\\n\\nThis job description is not exhaustive.
