    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Purpose</span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>The Marine Electronics Engineer will install, repair and maintain Navigation, Communication and Safety equipment on board vessels regionally and abroad. This includes GMDSS equipment, VDR, ECDIS, Gyrocompass, MF/HF, VHF Radios,  Autopilot, Echo sounder and Satellite Communication equipment etc.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Main Duties and Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Provide service worldwide on-board vessels.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform periodical and special radio inspections according to IMO and Class regulations</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform VDR Annual Performance Tests according to makers’ specifications</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform Installation, maintenance and repair of GMDSS and Navigation equipment</span></li>\n<li><span>Load, update, and modify software</span></li>\n<li><span>Upon completing the assignment, will create a detailed service report</span></li>\n<li><span>Provide remote support customer/user support requests and provide assistance troubleshooting issues relating to our products</span></li>\n<li><span>Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain and develop a solid professional relation with existing and new clients</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain in depth knowledge of company’s products and services</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain good communication and cooperate well with other department</span></li>\n<li><span>Good knowledge of the company’s electronic systems and databases</span></li>\n<li><span>Install, test, configure, repair of VSAT and Fleet Broadband systems or other solutions involving these technologies.</span></li>\n<li><span>Travel to various locations worldwide for installation of company’s Satcom solutions.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>A University degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent technical certificates</span></li>\n<li><span>At least 3 years previous experience with Navigation and Communication equipment</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to communicate well in English (speaking and writing)</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong knowledge of electronics theory and application</span></li>\n<li><span>Willingness to travel often and on occasion to remote locations</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent problem-solving skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to read schematics, diagrams, user manuals, technical manuals etc.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adaptability to changing situations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>GMDSS General Operator license is considered an advantage</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
