In this role, you will oversee advanced utility investigations, provide leadership to engineers and technicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality SUE plans, reports, and recommendations. With minimal supervision, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project execution and mentoring the next generation of engineers.</p><p><strong>Once selected to join our team, you will: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Lead and manage complex SUE projects, including advanced utility investigations and conflict resolution.</li><li>Oversee utility mapping, design, and compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.</li><li>Develop detailed utility plans and coordinate approvals for permitting and fieldwork.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li>Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality reviews for engineers and technicians.</li><li>Interpret sketches, redlines, and field data to produce and edit SUE plans and drawings.</li><li>Prepare and review technical reports, utility maps, as-built records, and project documentation.</li><li>Conduct property and utility research to support design activities.</li><li>Perform site visits to assess field conditions and ensure project success.</li><li>Assist with resource planning, scheduling, and budget management to meet project goals.</li><li>Participate in client meetings, providing technical expertise and project updates.</li><li>Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on all project sites.</li><li>Support business development by assisting with proposals and client presentations.</li><li>Conduct training sessions and workshops on SUE methodologies and best practices.</li><li>Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.</li></ul><p><strong>KEY QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other design software related to SUE projects.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles, utility conflict analysis, and design standards.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam.</li><li>In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for SUE projects.</li></ul><p><strong><u>SKILLS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Mastery of SUE processes, including utility investigations and conflict resolution.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of civil infrastructure, including water, wastewater, and storm infrastructure and design.</li><li>Exceptional project management and organizational skills.</li><li>Superior verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Strong leadership and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Proven capability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.</li><li>Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p><ul><li>At least 8 years of experience in civil engineering design or subsurface utility engineering design</li><li>At least 6 years of prior CAD experience, with a focus on SUE deliverables</li><li>At least 4 years of experience as a P.E.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field</li></ul><p><strong><u>LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas</li></ul><p>Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Dunaway in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
