      "description": "<p>Description</p><p>This is a floating AM position between AMOREM's patient care units in Valdese and Hudson.</p><p><br/></p><p>Through a holistic approach, high quality comprehensive care is provided timely and efficiently to promote a positive end of life experience in the PCU. </p><p>Requirements</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: </p><p> · Establish a plan of care for new patients in coordination with IDG </p><p>· Make assignments and supervise patient care </p><p>· Notify staff of patient death in accordance with policy </p><p>· Assure medications are administered accurately and on a timely basis and in accordance with MD orders </p><p>· Respond promptly to all emergency situations </p><p>· Maintain constant vigilance over patients, ensuring necessary safety precautions are taken </p><p>· Follow all infection control procedures </p><p>· Supervise nursing assistants, LPNs and volunteers on duty </p><p>· Assure the facility is secured by safety policies and procedures after hours and on weekends </p><p>· Assure that patients and families have solace and privacy </p><p>· Assure patient/facility supplies, laundry and equipment are appropriately cleaned and stocked </p><p> </p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  </p><p>· Ability to work a flexible schedule </p><p>· Willingness to work with patients/families regardless of race, color, creed, age or sexual orientation. Must respect their beliefs and philosophy with an attitude of openness. </p><p>· Ability to work effectively with others in a supervisory role </p><p>· Strong communication skills</p><p><br/></p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  </p><p>Education:  </p><p>· Current NC license as a registered nurse </p><p>· Active patient contact or completion of a nursing refresher course within the past three years </p><p>Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable):  </p><p>· CPR certification </p><p><br/></p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  </p><p>· Visual acuity to read written documentation and computer tasks</p><p>· Ability to sit extended periods of time and perform administrative tasks</p><p>· Ability to stand, bend and lift an average of 30 pounds</p><p>· Manual dexterity with the ability to manipulate office equipment and keyboard for extended periods of time</p><p>· Ability to walk, squat, kneel, climb and balance</p><p><br/></p><p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  </p><p>· Must have an automobile with required insurance coverage and state driver’s license </p><p>· PRN employees must complete one 12-hour shift in 90 days  </p>",
