Job Overview:
Conduct in-process quality inspections of vans, identify vehicle
defects, and enter inspection results into the appropriate computer systems.
Communicate effectively with production personnel to create awareness of
quality issues that leads to effective resolution.
Responsibilities:
Be able to read
and comprehend checklist inspection points and locate the targeted area for
inspection. Must have basic
computer, writing and language skills; ability to enter data into a computer
unassisted Be able to
identify, evaluate and determine the severity of a defect based on the Van
Benchmark Catalog NQ rating scale Ability to
conduct needed inspections in the established takt time Input defects
into QSYS and on FBK Properly clear
defects in QSYS and on the FBK Be able to
inspect FBKs for conformance to stamping requirements Identify the
correct process owner for a defect and communicate with them Verify
correction of defects if/when corrected in-station Determine next
process step for vehicles with defects (light tunnel/EOL only)
