The LPN will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with organizational policy and clinical standards.</p><hr data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"586\"><p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"614\"><strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"612\">Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"2640\"><li data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"734\"><p data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"734\">Administer all medications safely and in accordance with policy; document administration and monitor effectiveness.</p></li><li data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"856\"><p data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"856\">Promptly notify the Unit Shift Manager or Director of Nursing (DON) of contracted orders and unavailable medications.</p></li><li data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"961\"><p data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"961\">Recommend improvements to medication administration processes within the scope of clinical training.</p></li><li data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1032\"><p data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1032\">Complete all required assessments in a timely and accurate manner.</p></li><li data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1129\"><p data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1129\">Ensure that ongoing patient assessments are reflected in treatment plans and progress notes.</p></li><li data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1218\"><p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1218\">Implement special precautions as indicated, in accordance with established policies.</p></li><li data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1317\"><p data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1317\">Provide reassurance and support to patients and families during hospitalization and treatment.</p></li><li data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1395\"><p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1395\">Maintain vigilance and promptly identify potential patient care concerns.</p></li><li data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1501\"><p data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1501\">Participate actively in treatment planning by sharing relevant observations and clinical information.</p></li><li data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1621\"><p data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1621\">Assist patients with treatments and identify when additional help is needed with activities of daily living (ADLs).</p></li><li data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1697\"><p data-start=\"1624\" data-end=\"1697\">Demonstrate respect for patient rights and provide individualized care.</p></li><li data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1817\"><p data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1817\">Follow proper infection control procedures;
