Under direct supervision of licensed pharmacist, performs duties related to patient medication profiles, drug preparation, labeling, and drug distribution.  Orders and maintains pharmaceutical supplies</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Help patients who are dropping off or picking up prescription orders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reviews all incoming orders, enters data into computerized patient profiles, generates labels.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist the pharmacist with filling and labeling prescriptions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepare the pharmacy inventory</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Screen telephone calls for the pharmacist</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicate with clinic providers to obtain refill authorization</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepackage bulk medications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist in training new employees.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist other pharmacy technicians</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist pharmacist in scheduling and maintaining workflow</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist in promoting special health programs that enhance and encourage good health, such as blood pressure monitoring and diabetes programs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education and/or Other Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience as per Board of Pharmacy technician regulations, sec. 1793.4</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">High school degree or equivalent</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration, State of California</span> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Spanish Bilingual required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of pharmacy law, rules, regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of pharmacology and medical terminology, manufacturing procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration, State of California</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of brand and generic drug names.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of packaging and labeling procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to assemble and organize numerical data.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the ability to apply such concepts to situations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to gather and input data.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to use a computer.
