This is an operational role that manages ongoing security and compliance of our internal infrastructure. This is a key role that implements the policy and direction set by our senior management team and works closely with the IT service delivery team to maintain ongoing security assurance.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Your work may include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Cyber Risk Management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Ensure security of all internal systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Develop and maintain security policies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Ensure system design and implementation meets security outcomes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Produce evidence to meet various MOD regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Work closely with various practises (Software Engineering, DevSecOps Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Agile Development, Support) to achieve security outcomes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Reporting to senior management on compliance, cyber risks of internal services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Work with project teams on improving operational security, providing security consultancy.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">We value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Experience of working on risk assessments using industry approved methodologies (such as NIST, ISO 27005).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Identification of suitable risk management activities (technical, physical, or procedural) to treat /mitigate the identified risks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Creation of security documentation to support the development of an information system, these could include: Security Aspects of Design, Risk Assessments, Risk Management Plans, Security Policies, Security Test Plans/Results.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">High standards in written report and/or design documentation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">The ability to manage change securely and effectively.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Experience of Azure, M365, Intune, JAMF, Windows, macOS and Kubernetes environments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Knowledge and experience of Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD principles and their application in secure environments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Appreciation of the constraints and requirements imposed on development within secure, safety critical environments.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Just as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">About SiXworks</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">SiXworks is a specialist digital innovation partner delivering secure, mission-critical technology to Defence and National Security organisations.
