Identify opportunities to assist our members with collection of payment, arrangements to pay, deferments, and any other assistance available to bring an account into good standing.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Contacts delinquent accounts by phone, text, email, and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.</li><li>Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral or charge off when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity.</li><li>Completes weekly scheduled educational training through BVS courses, attorney courses, and other online resources.</li><li>Performs skip tracing to assist in locating difficult members.</li><li>Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.</li><li>Participates in scheduled training with a Senior Credit Resolution Specialist to enhance knowledge and skill set.</li><li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.</li><li><strong>Education/Certifications/Licenses</strong>:&nbsp;A high school degree or equivalent</li><li><strong>Interpersonal Skills:&nbsp;</strong>A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
