Description

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to the non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse. Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems. Whether we are navigating complex crisis management, elevating advocacy campaigns, or launching global consumer brands, we are storytellers at our core. You may notice our digital presence is purposefully understated. While our clients are global household names, we believe the best work happens when the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent. We fly under the radar by design - preferring to let our campaigns, and our results, speak for themselves. If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you! Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a strategic, incredibly organized Executive Assistant to support a Partner in our Los Angeles office. This is a dual-impact role that combines high-level executive support with the oversight of our local office environment. The work on this Partner’s desk is fast-paced and high-profile, centering on complex scheduling, A-list talent, and new business across multiple industries. We are looking for a career-minded professional with the gravitas to manage the Partner's time effectively and the flexibility to navigate last-minute changes with ease. You should be deeply updated on current events—from politics and social good to pop culture and entertainment—and possess a natural ability to recognize the VIPs in every landscape. Benefits x Perks We go well beyond the benefits that you’re looking for like medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with matching, annual merit-based bonuses, PTO, fertility, FSA for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses. Eligible employees at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis may access these benefits, along with many additional perks including, a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4-week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We love to socialize so, we have collaborative workspaces, some offices even have rooftops, celebrations, networking opportunities, and community volunteering. We frequently mark opportunities to listen, learn and act throughout the year (Juneteenth, Election Day, International Women’s Day, etc.). SSM&L is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ability. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, identity and expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. There’s more! From day one, employees are carefully matched with a mentor to guide them on their path to success. Training and mentoring are a big deal here and since we are into promoting from within, we make sure to provide more than enough tools for you to learn and grow. We are proud to offer training throughout the year on topics for professional growth as well as personal growth. We have also developed a series of teaching workshops that are structured for each level of the company. Sunshiners also take love to take advantage of the monthly Meet the Industry series where industry thought leaders provide valuable insider info on how to work with them and their colleagues. The Role: Executive Partnership: Serve as the strategic gatekeeper and an extension of the Partner’s brain. You will manage a complex daily calendar, arrange high-profile meetings, and ensure the Partner is operating as efficiently as possible across multiple time zones. Client and New Business Support: Provide tactical support for a roster of entertainment, impact, and technology clients. You will create research materials and briefs to prepare the Partner for networking, new business presentations, and client meetings. Logistical Mastery: Act as a wiz at booking complex travel and managing local logistics. You have the ability to pivot and change travel plans at a moment’s notice—a task that requires both precision and persistence. Office Management: Lead the daily operations of the Los Angeles office. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage conference room scheduling, and mitigate conflicts with professional poise. Culture and Environment: Maintain the high standards of our common areas, including the kitchen and front office. You will plan in-office and off-site activities, welcome new employees, and manage essential inventories and vendor relationships (catering, security, facilities). The Situational Strategist: You possess elite emotional intelligence and situational awareness. You know how to read a room, when to command the Partner’s schedule, and how to handle a high volume of daily questions with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude. The Relationship Standard: You understand that you represent the Partner and the agency. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, clients, and guests—prioritizing trust, discretion, and integrity in every interaction. Who You Are: The Experienced Professional: You have at least one year of experience working on a high-volume desk in a fast-paced environment (PR, talent agency, or entertainment experience is a major plus). Culturally Obsessed: You are genuinely interested in what is going on in the world—from the latest news and social good movements to fashion and film. Your name recognition of key industry players is a vital asset. Meticulously Organized: You are a master of the details and can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without letting a single detail slip through the cracks. A Clear Communicator: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are persuasive, concise, and professional in all correspondence. Punctual and Proactive: You value time management; if you are on-time, you consider yourself late. You are proactive about flagging potential schedule conflicts before they happen. Driven to Over-Deliver: You are looking for a career, not just a job. You take genuine pride in being the engine that keeps a high-profile desk and a vibrant office running smoothly. Location : You currently reside in Los Angeles and have a strong familiarity with the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Qualifications Experience: At least 2–4 years of experience on a high-volume desk (PR, talent agency, or corporate operations preferred). Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; you can draft professional correspondence for senior leaders and external stakeholders with ease. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Outlook) and a quick study on administrative and financial tracking systems. Culture Driven: You are genuinely engaged with news, social impact, and the entertainment landscape.
