Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Sport Communications & Social Media, this position is responsible for creation, distribution, and tracking of content and posts across the US Equestrian family of social media properties. This position incorporates strategy implementation, creative brainstorming, and content creation, alongside development support of USEF sponsorship assets for social media platforms. Additionally, this position produces original photo and video content to supplement USEF social media platforms and USEF Network accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining all USEF and USEF Network social media accounts on a day-to-day basis Develop strategies for grassroots initiatives, sponsors, and user-generated content Assist in management of social media content calendar, coordinating with other members of marketing team Track and schedule sponsored social media deliverables for USEF portfolio of partners and sponsors Content calendar updated and maintained by this individual will include both original content and produced content, with inclusion of editorial, communications, sport, executive, sponsorship, and ShopUSEF communications and content. Assist with social media analytics reporting for US Equestrian and our partners. Create unique organic content for US Equestrian social channels. Travel to cover select events for US Equestrian and USEF Network social media channels Assist with monitoring and management of social platforms including comments and messages.
Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Broad knowledge of marketing principles and strategies. Experience in Adobe applications such as Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and implement social media marketing campaigns and strategies. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree with focus on social media, marketing, or photography preferred. Experience in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent travel Extended hours of availability, including evenings and weekends. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. (Anything over 25 pounds requires a two-person lift) Prolonged periods of standing and walking during events.
