Description

Position Description Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Master Planner to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA. The Master Planner coordinates development and execution of the master production schedule to align with the Sales & Operations (S&OP) plan. The role supports on‑time delivery, optimal inventory levels, and smooth production flow by partnering with production, supply chain, and warehouse teams. This position helps ensure customers receive high‑quality products on schedule while supporting continuous improvement in planning processes. What will you do? Maintain accurate daily production schedules to support achievable targets across departments. Use capacity‑planning tools to recommend adjustments to production rates or line configurations. Develop S&OP reports and facilitate monthly performance reviews and forward‑looking planning sessions. Maintain master scheduling policies and rules of engagement for order management. Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule to reduce past‑due orders. Provide regular updates on production and shipping performance against established goals. Evaluate expedited order requests and communicate impacts to customer support teams. Support planning for new product introductions, including samples and first production runs. Analyze sales orders and forecasts, communicate risks, and recommend corrective actions. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent experience. Experience as a master scheduler in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency using Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP‑based planning systems or APS scheduling tools. Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement effective planning solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions. Preferred Qualifications APICS/ASCM certification. Experience in engineer‑to‑order (ETO) environments. Experience with Access, Crystal Reports, or formal reporting tools.
