We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong></p>\n<p>The Field Survey Tech will work in a transportation-oriented setting, including on roadways, highways, bridges, railroads, public and private sites.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operating the equipment necessary to collect survey data in an accurate manner and accurately locate points for mapping purposes.</li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain survey notes to company standards or verbal instructions.</li>\n <li>Operate the following equipment: Digital Levels, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors, Laser Scanners and survey grade Global Positioning Systems (GPS) units.</li>\n <li>Utilize point codes during data collection to describe mapping features and line work.</li>\n <li>Travel 50-75% in-state, 10% out-of-state. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you’ll bring to our firm:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 1-5 years land surveying experience.</li>\n <li>Experience operating Digital Levels, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors, Laser Scanners and survey grade Global Positioning Systems (GPS) units.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and good driving record.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decision in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures as directed by supervision</li>\n <li>Ability to coordinate and work in a team environment</li>\n <li>Must be capable of passing applicable safety training requirements</li>\n <li>Successfully pass FRA/DOT drug screening</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>10 Hour OSHA Certification</li>\n <li>CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Certification</li>\n <li>Familiarity with GDOT standards</li>\n <li>Experience with Leica survey equipment</li>\n <li>FAA Part 107 sUAS License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong>The range for this position is salary range is $30/hour - $35/hour.</p>\n<p>Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.</p> \n<strong>Featured Benefits: </strong>• Comprehensive benefits package including wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance, in addition to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.• Tax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.• Competitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.• Tuition reimbursement for continued education.• Commitment to professional development, access to internal and external training programs, and support of active participation in professional organizations• Incentive compensation for eligible positions.\n<p> </p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p>At GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge.
