In order to become a Ryder employee you must:o Be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hireo Pass a Ryder Drug Testo Pass a DOT physicalo Pass a Ryder road testo Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsSafety Sensitive Position</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain proper vehicle fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation; record fuel activity; check oil</li>\n <li>Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance</li>\n <li>Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Check tire pressure, minor tire repairs & replacements, wheel alignments, tire inventory per company's policies/procedures</li>\n <li>Assist with environmental compliance of the location.
