    "description": "<p>ALPHA Landscapes is seeking a full time, experienced commercial landscape estimator/project manager.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ALPHA Landscapes is an established commercial construction focused landscape firm working with general contractors, municipalities, and the DOT in central Iowa.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking to bring someone into the company with experience bidding, and managing projects as a earthworks/civil construction contractor.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position will have a primary focus on estimating and managing our prime, DOT, and civil construction-type projects.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Benefits Include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Profit Share Opportunities</li>\n<li>Company funded life-insurance plan</li>\n<li>Company funded health insurance</li>\n<li>Retirement plan with 3% company match</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Job Description:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage assistant PM to facilitate workload</li>\n<li>Quantity takeoffs</li>\n<li>Quote procurement from suppliers and subcontractors</li>\n<li>Create competitive, profitable proposals</li>\n<li>Following up with clients post-bid</li>\n<li>Backlog forecasting/management</li>\n<li>Complete Submittals/RFIs</li>\n<li>Putting projects under contract (Confirming scope and contract amounts, setup orders and create POs)</li>\n<li>Change order/document management</li>\n<li>Schedule coordination with clients, subcontractors, and ALPHA production superintendents</li>\n<li>Provide direction to superintendents and field supervisors when there are scope questions.</li>\n<li>Attend pre-construction coordination meetings when required.</li>\n<li>Assist office administrator with AIA billings as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self motivated individual who can increase sales and revenues.</li>\n<li>Must have ability to manage your time and work effectively with little supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to prospect new clients/projects</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven customer service skills</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>3 years of previous civil construction estimating or project management experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>**All new hire candidates will be required to take a drug test upon arrival their first day at ALPHA Landscapes.
