The ideal candidate will be located in Columbia, SC or surrounding area.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Deli/Bakery Merchandiser will oversee deli/bakery operations in assigned locations. This role is responsible for training and development of employees to maximize sales.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Develop and provide job aids and train deli/bakery managers to effectively run their departments and understand performance targets and goals. Includes ongoing training on all aspects of the deli/bakery and the employees.</li>\n<li>Set goals for performance that comply with the company's plans and vision, coach department managers to meet their objectives and financial goals.</li>\n<li>Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.</li>\n<li>Inspect equipment in the facility to ensure they are being properly used, cleaned and maintained. Maintains scales to ensure all retails in department are correct.</li>\n<li>Ensure Deli/Bakery departments are maintained, ensuring a neat, clean, and safe environment.</li>\n<li>Ensure the products are properly labeled with correct retails and the proper shelf life.</li>\n<li>Review deli/bakery weekly paperwork, invoices, and shrink control.</li>\n<li>Monitor rotation and proper stock levels. Analyze shrink contributors and coach processes to reduce shrink, increase sales, and improve gross profit.</li>\n<li>Monitor coolers, freezers and backrooms for sanitation, food items being properly stored and rotated. Ensure the highest standards for sanitation and safe food handling practices.</li>\n<li>Ensures desired customer service levels are achieved.</li>\n<li>Monitors ongoing program effectiveness, provides feedback to appropriate teams.</li>\n<li>Works with Operations and Human Resources to identify staffing needs and developing successors.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<li>Should possess the knowledge and skills to effectively manage any deli/bakery department.</li>\n<li>Should have 2-4 years management experience and thorough knowledge of deli/bakery operations.</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal communicator.</li>\n<li>Be able to teach and influence store managers to comply with company standards in department.</li>\n<li>Self motivator with ability to work independently or as a member of a team.</li>\n<p>#LI-AB1</p>\n<p>#boost</p>",
